Lake Tahoe & Truckee Monthly Real Estate Sales Stats

We are continuing to see more activity with home sales around the Truckee Tahoe area. 64 homes & 7 condos sold last month (June 2009). The most activity was in the $300K-$499K range (27 sold homes) and the $500K-$699K range (14 homes sold). 7 homes sold for under $299K, 10 homes sold in the $700-899K range, and 5 homes in the $900K-$1.1 mil. range. 1 home sold for over $2 million on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe First Quarter Sales Stats 2009

The following graphs show some of the real estate sales information for the first quarter 2009. The first graph shows sales volume in the Lake Tahoe area for the dates of January 1 – March 31, 2009. The second chart shows sales by price banding in the different areas around the Sierra Nevadas. The second chart also compares first quarter sales stats in 2008 to the first quarter in 2009. The following chart shows the sales stats for the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area for March 2009. The chart breaks down the sold properties by area and by price range.
The most activity was in the $300K – $499K range (13 single family homes sold). 11 homes sold in the $500K – $699K range. There were 9 homes over $1 million that sold in March 2009. A total of 41 single family homes and 10 condos sold during the month of March.

Lake Tahoe/Truckee Sales Stats for January 2009

This chart shows the sales stats for the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area for January 2009. The chart breaks down the sold properties by area and by price range. The most activity is in the $900k and under price range. But there was 1 property that sold for over $1 million (Northstar) and 2 properties that sold for over $2 million in the month of January (1 in Lahontan and 1 in the Northshore of Lake Tahoe). A total of 8 homes sold in the $299k & under price range which has been unusual for the area in the past. There were a total of 28 single family homes and 3 condos that sold in the month of January.
